Only stopped there for dinner after a long day hiking. Since it was hunting season, they had venison on the menu. It was so delicious, well prepared and well presented. The restaurant area has been newly renovated it seems. The staff was super nice. I highly recommend it. We didn't stay there overnight but when we inquired about the room prices after such a wonderful dinner, they told us they had no vacancy and we needed to book well in advance. That says a lot
Is this place even real? I had one memorable night here and kinda feel let down the other places I’m staying on holiday after this. The view, spectacular. The service and food, amazing. The hotel seems to have gone through a renovation very recently, it’s modern, clean, felt very luxurious.
This hotel is a perfect trifecta of exceptional service, stunning views, and top-tier amenities. The staff were not only friendly but exceedingly helpful and hospitable. Both breakfast and dinner exceeded expectations, and the comfort of the rooms added to the overall satisfaction. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning when I am next in the area.
We stayed for one night and it's one of the most beautiful places a hotel can be.
It's at 2164 m. Alt. at a lake. It's also at the continental divide. The water at the side of the hotel goes to the Rhone and Meditterranean Sea and at the other side to the Aare and the Rhine to the North Sea.
Our room was at the dependance. It had a bed and a bathroom. There is no TV, coffee making facilities or any other things you would normaly find at a hotel.
If you are 1.70 m (or 5.6 ft.) tall you're good. If you are taller, I would suggest a room in the main building.
There are many wooden beams in the room in the dependance. So if you are tall you can only stand in front of the small window or in front of the bathroom. For the rest you need to bend.
The restaurant is very good. We had dinner and breakfast. Both were very good.
The coffee and freshly baked bread were amazing.
The views in any direction at the hotel are stunning. It doesn't matter if it's morning, afternoon or in the evening. And night you can see plenty of stars.
The hotel is not cheap, but, in my opinion, it's worth it.
Loved their restaurant. We were driving through the pass and found this gem of a place. We stopped by for coffee.. the restaurant is right on a lake within Alps. Don't have enough words to describe. A must visit if you have a car and are staying in Luzern. Staff was amazing, food was great !!!
Very nice hotel and restaurant with great views, good food, comfortable rooms and friendly staff.
So when you say Switzerland. You think quiet, peaceful, relaxing. This was our favorite place in Switzerland, we drove all over, saw 7 countries in 3 weeks and this was our favorite slice of this country. Off season, hardly any tourists here…just relaxing wonderful people, delicious food and our favorite place to have a nice cool sleep at 7,140 feet above sea level.
So if interlaken seemed like a tourist trap with little to give you, travel here. The food is finally great food!!! far away from the tourist traps diner style meals you get in other parts…and the beds are comfortable, the people are warm and the cool air blowing off the water cascading over the panoramic snow capped mountain can simply be explained with “ahhhhhh…wonderful”
Thank you. Everyone. We wish you all a warm thank you from our Moutain tops in the Appalachian mountains of the United States. We couldn’t of asked for a greater place to stay. Maybe one day we will see you again.

Let’s go! These folks cooked me up an amazing meal after a triple pass day on the bicycle. Delicious. Thank you! Lifesaver.
